José de Jesús Pimiento Rodríguez, born on February eighteenth, nineteen nineteen, was a distinguished Colombian prelate of the Catholic Church. His ecclesiastical journey began when he was appointed Bishop of Montería in nineteen fifty-nine, a role he held until nineteen sixty-four.

Following his tenure in Montería, he served as the Bishop of Garzón-Neiva from nineteen sixty-four to nineteen seventy-five. His leadership and dedication to the Church were further recognized when he was appointed Archbishop of Manizales, a position he held from nineteen seventy-five until his retirement in nineteen ninety-six.
