His most notable accomplishment came during the two thousand eight Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he clinched the bronze medal in the individual épée competition. This victory not only marked Spain's first Olympic medal in fencing but also celebrated the country's one hundredth Olympic medal in history, according to the International Olympic Committee.
