José Raúl Mulino

José Raúl Mulino, born on June thirteenth, nineteen fifty-nine, is a prominent Panamanian politician, lawyer, and diplomat. He has recently taken office as the thirty-ninth president of Panama in 2024, following a successful campaign in which he garnered thirty-four percent of the vote as the Realizing Goals candidate. His ascent to the presidency came after he was endorsed by former President Ricardo Martinelli, who was disqualified from running due to corruption scandals.

Before his presidency, Mulino held significant positions in the Panamanian government. He served as Minister of Government and Justice from two thousand nine to two thousand ten, and as Minister of Public Security from two thousand ten to two thousand fourteen, both under President Martinelli's administration. His political career also includes serving as Deputy Minister from nineteen ninety to nineteen ninety-three and as Minister of Foreign Relations from nineteen ninety-three to nineteen ninety-four during President Guillermo Endara's term.

In addition to his ministerial roles, Mulino was a member of the National Council of Foreign Relations from nineteen ninety-four to nineteen ninety-five and served as a Substitute Magistrate of the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice.
