Josep Maria Mauri

Josep Maria Mauri, born on October twenty-first, nineteen forty-one, in Alzina de Moror, Pallars Jussà, Spain, is a distinguished Spanish Catholic priest and politician. His journey in the clergy began with his ordination in nineteen sixty-five, marking the start of a lifelong commitment to service within the Church.

In two thousand ten, Mauri was appointed Vicar General of the Diocese of Urgell, where he also served as Deputy to the personal representative of the episcopal co-prince of Andorra, Nemesi Marqués Oste. His dedication and leadership were recognized when he was sworn in as the personal representative on July twentieth, two thousand twelve, under Archbishop Joan Enric Vives i Sicília.

Following the announcement of Josep-Lluís Serrano Pentinat as the future successor to Archbishop Vives, Eduard Ibáñez Pulido was appointed as Mauri's successor as the representative of the co-prince, officially taking office on November twenty-seventh, two thousand twenty-three. Despite this transition, Mauri continues to serve as Vicar General and holds several other significant positions within the diocese.
