Josh Homme

He is best recognized as the founder and the only continuous member of the influential rock band Queens of the Stone Age, which he established in nineteen ninety-six following the disbandment of his previous group, Kyuss.

Homme's musical journey began with Kyuss, where he served as co-founder and guitarist from nineteen eighty-seven to nineteen ninety-five. Afterward, he took on the role of touring guitarist for the rock band Screaming Trees from nineteen ninety-six to nineteen ninety-eight, before embarking on the creation of Queens of the Stone Age. His contributions to music extend beyond his primary band; he also plays drums for Eagles of Death Metal, a group he co-founded in nineteen ninety-eight.

In addition to his work with established bands, Homme has been involved in various musical projects, including The Desert Sessions, an improvisational endeavor with fellow musicians from the Palm Desert Scene, which he initiated in nineteen ninety-seven. In two thousand nine, he formed the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures alongside notable musicians Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones, releasing their self-titled debut album the same year.

Homme's influence in the music industry is further highlighted by his collaboration with iconic artists such as Iggy Pop, for whom he produced, co-wrote, and performed on the album Post Pop Depression in two thousand sixteen.
