Josip Glasnović

Josip Glasnović, born on May seventh, nineteen eighty-three, is a distinguished Croatian sports shooter renowned for his exceptional skills in shotgun events. His journey in competitive shooting has been marked by remarkable achievements, including a gold medal in trap at the 2016 Summer Olympics, a pinnacle of success in his career.

Before his Olympic triumph, Glasnović showcased his talent at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, where he reached the trap final and secured a commendable fifth place. His dedication to the sport is further exemplified by his performance at the 2012 European Shotgun Championships in Larnaca, where he, alongside his brother Anton Glasnović and teammate Giovanni Cernogoraz, clinched a gold medal in team trap.

The highlight of Glasnović's career came during the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he triumphed in the trap event, defeating the renowned shooter Giovanni Pellielo in a thrilling final round. His prowess continued to shine in 2025 when he not only won the gold medal in Men's Trap but also contributed to securing a team gold for Croatia at the ISSF World Shotgun Championships held in Athens.
