Josip Iličić

Josip Iličić, born on January twenty-nine, nineteen eighty-eight, is a distinguished Slovenian professional footballer currently playing for Koper in the Slovenian PrvaLiga. Renowned for his versatility, he primarily operates as an attacking midfielder but is also adept as a winger or forward.

Iličić's professional journey commenced with Bonifika, a Slovenian club, before he made notable contributions to Interblock and Maribor. His career took a significant turn in two thousand ten when he moved to Italy to join Palermo. After a successful stint, he signed with Fiorentina in two thousand thirteen and later joined Atalanta in two thousand seventeen. Following twelve fruitful years in Italy, he returned to Maribor in two thousand twenty-two.

His tenure at Atalanta marked the pinnacle of his career, where he consistently netted eleven or more league goals in each of his first three seasons. His exceptional performance earned him a place in the prestigious 2018–19 Serie A Team of the Year. Notably, he made history in two thousand twenty by becoming the first player to score four away goals in a UEFA Champions League knockout match against Valencia, also setting the record as the oldest player to achieve this feat.
