Throughout his career, Ferrero secured sixteen singles titles on the ATP Tour, with his crowning achievement being the victory at the 2003 French Open. He also reached the finals of the French Open in two thousand two and the US Open in two thousand three, showcasing his prowess on the court.

After retiring from professional play in two thousand twelve, Ferrero took on the role of director at the Ferrero Tennis Academy in Alicante, Villena, where he had once trained.
