Juan Manuel Correa

Juan Manuel "J.M." Correa Borja, born on August 9, 1999, is a talented American-Ecuadorian racing driver currently making his mark in the 2026 Indy NXT with Cusick Morgan Motorsports. His journey in motorsport has been both inspiring and challenging, showcasing his resilience and determination.

Correa's career took a significant turn when he competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship from 2022 to 2024, representing teams such as Van Amersfoort Racing and DAMS Lucas Oil. His versatility extends beyond single-seater racing, as he has also excelled in the LMP2 category, achieving victory in the European Le Mans Series as a silver-ranked driver.

In 2019, Correa faced a life-altering incident at Spa-Francorchamps during a Formula 2 race, where he sustained critical leg injuries in an accident that tragically claimed the life of fellow driver Anthoine Hubert. After a year dedicated to recovery, he made a triumphant return to racing, competing in FIA F3 with ART Grand Prix before rejoining Formula 2 at the end of 2022.

Beyond his racing achievements, Correa is also notable for his lineage, being the grandson of former Ecuadorian President Rodrigo Borja Cevallos and a descendant of Pope Alexander VI. This rich heritage adds an intriguing layer to his already remarkable story.
