Juan Pablo Ángel

Juan Pablo Ángel, born on October 24, 1975, is a distinguished Colombian former professional footballer renowned for his prowess as a forward. His football journey commenced at Atlético Nacional, where he played a pivotal role in securing the championship in 1994, showcasing his talent early on.

Following his success in Colombia, Ángel made a significant move to River Plate in Argentina. There, he emerged as the league's top scorer in the year 2000, solidifying his reputation as a formidable striker in South American football.

In 2001, Ángel transitioned to Europe, joining Aston Villa in the Premier League for a club record fee of nine point five million pounds. His time in England was marked by impressive performances that endeared him to fans and established him as a key player.

In 2007, he ventured to the United States, where he played for three clubs in Major League Soccer. After a successful stint abroad, he returned to Atlético Nacional in 2013, ultimately concluding his illustrious career there a year later.
