Juana Inés de la Cruz

Juana Inés de Asbaje y Ramírez de Santillana, widely recognized as Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, was born on November twelfth, sixteen fifty-one. A remarkable figure of the Baroque period, she was not only a Hieronymite nun but also an accomplished poet, writer, philosopher, mathematician, composer, and playwright.
