Juanes

Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez, known to the world as Juanes, is a celebrated Colombian musician born on August 9, 1972. His journey in music began at an early age, as he started playing the piano at just two years old. By seventeen, he had formed his first band, Ekhymosis, which gained significant recognition in Colombia and released eight albums, with the hit track 'Solo' from the album Niño Gigante in 1992 marking a pivotal moment in his early career.

In 2000, Juanes embarked on a solo career with the release of his debut album, Fíjate Bien, which earned him three Latin Grammy Awards and set the stage for his remarkable success. His subsequent albums, including Un Día Normal in 2002 and Mi Sangre in 2004, solidified his status as a leading figure in Latin music, with the latter featuring the international hit 'La Camisa Negra'. Over the years, he has released several more albums, including La Vida... Es Un Ratico, P.A.R.C.E., and Más Futuro Que Pasado, showcasing his evolution as an artist.

Throughout his illustrious career, Juanes has garnered an impressive twenty-six Latin Grammy Awards and three Grammy Awards, making him one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time, with over fifteen million records sold globally. His contributions to music have been recognized with the BMI President's Award at the 2010 BMI Latin Awards, highlighting his influence and impact in the industry.

Beyond his musical achievements, Juanes is also known for his humanitarian efforts, particularly through his NGO, Fundacion Mi Sangre, which aids Colombian victims of anti-personnel mines.
