Juanita Castro, born on May sixth, nineteen thirty-three, was a prominent Cuban-American businessperson and dissident. She is notably recognized as the sister of Fidel and Raúl Castro, both of whom served as presidents of Cuba, as well as Ramón Castro, a significant figure in the Cuban Revolution.
Despite her familial ties to the Cuban leadership, Juanita held a strong ideological opposition to her brothers' regime. This divergence in beliefs led her to take a stand against the government they established.
In nineteen sixty-four, she took a bold step by collaborating with the Central Intelligence Agency in Cuba, a decision that would shape her future. Following this collaboration, Juanita chose to live in exile in the United States, where she continued her activism until her passing.
