Judy Chu

Judy Chu, born on July seventh, nineteen fifty-three, is a prominent American politician and university teacher, currently serving as the U.S. representative for California's twenty-eighth congressional district. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, she has been a fixture in Congress since two thousand nine, initially representing California's thirty-second congressional district until redistricting occurred.

Chu made history as the first Chinese American woman elected to Congress, a significant milestone in American politics. Her political journey began with her election to the California Board of Equalization in two thousand seven, where she represented the fourth district. Prior to that, she served on the Garvey Unified School District Board of Education and held multiple terms as mayor on the Monterey Park City Council, showcasing her commitment to local governance.
