Juelz Santana

LaRon Louis James Sr., widely recognized by his stage name Juelz Santana, was born on February 18, 1982. He is an influential American rapper, songwriter, and actor, best known for his dynamic contributions to the hip-hop group the Diplomats, also known as Dipset. Santana gained significant recognition through his collaborations with fellow group member Cam'ron, particularly on the hit singles 'Oh Boy' and 'Hey Ma', which achieved impressive chart positions, peaking at numbers four and three on the Billboard Hot 100.

In addition to his work with Dipset, Juelz Santana made a notable impact on the music scene with his guest appearance on Chris Brown's debut single 'Run It!', which soared to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks and earned triple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. As a lead artist, his single 'There It Go (The Whistle Song)' also found success, reaching number six on the charts and receiving platinum certification.

His debut studio album, 'From Me to U', released in two thousand three, and his second album, 'What the Game's Been Missing!', released in two thousand five, both received mixed reviews but managed to secure spots within the top ten of the Billboard 200. Despite his musical achievements, Santana faced legal challenges, including a twenty-seven-month prison sentence in December two thousand eighteen for carrying an unconcealed weapon at an airport. He was released early on August fifth, two thousand twenty, after serving nineteen months of his sentence, marking a significant chapter in his life and career.
