Juhi Chawla

Juhi Chawla, born on November 13, 1967, is a celebrated Indian actress who rose to prominence as one of the leading figures in Hindi cinema from the late 1980s through the early 2000s. Known for her infectious comic timing and vibrant on-screen presence, she has garnered numerous accolades, including two prestigious Filmfare Awards. As of 2025, she stands as the wealthiest Indian actress, boasting a remarkable net worth of seven thousand seven hundred ninety crore rupees, equivalent to nine hundred twenty million US dollars.

Chawla's journey in the film industry began after she clinched the title of Miss India in 1984. She made her acting debut with a brief role in the Hindi film Sultanat in 1986, but it was her performance in the tragic romance Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988 that marked her breakthrough, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. The year 1993 proved pivotal in her career, as she starred in notable films such as Lootere, Aaina, Darr, and Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the latter.
