Julia Drusilla

Julia Drusilla, born on September sixteenth in the year sixteen, was a prominent figure in the Roman imperial family. As the second daughter and fifth child of the esteemed Germanicus and Agrippina the Elder, she was one of the few siblings to survive infancy, marking her as a significant member of her lineage.

Her close relationship with her brother, Emperor Caligula, defined much of her legacy. Caligula held Julia in high regard, and her untimely death deeply affected him. In a remarkable act of devotion, he had her deified, bestowing upon her the title Diva Drusilla Panthea, ensuring her memory would endure long after her passing.

In a further tribute to his beloved sister, Caligula named his own daughter Julia Drusilla, perpetuating the name and legacy of a woman who played a vital role in the imperial narrative of Rome.
