Yulia Olegovna Volkova, born on February 20, 1985, is a multifaceted Russian artist renowned for her contributions as a singer, actor, composer, television presenter, and film director. She gained international fame as a member of the iconic girl group t.A.T.u., formed in Moscow in 1999 by Ivan Shapovalov. Alongside her bandmate Lena Katina, Volkova captivated audiences with their provocative performances and chart-topping hits.
The duo's debut single, 'All the Things She Said', achieved remarkable success, reaching the top of the charts in numerous countries, including Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Their music, characterized by its catchy melodies and bold themes, sparked controversy, particularly due to their onstage kiss. Over the years, t.A.T.u. released three studio albums in English, including the critically acclaimed '200 km/h in the Wrong Lane', alongside several Russian albums and compilation records.
