Julie Dickson

Julie Dickson, born in nineteen fifty-five, is a distinguished civil servant and banker, renowned for her impactful leadership in the financial sector. She served as the Superintendent of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions of Canada from July four, two thousand seven, to June two thousand fourteen. During her tenure, she was instrumental in shaping regulatory frameworks and ensuring the stability of Canada's financial institutions.

Following her role in Canada, Dickson took on a significant position as a member of the European Central Bank Supervisory Board. In this capacity, she focused on establishing uniform regulatory oversight for euro area banks, collaborating with national supervisory authorities across participating countries to enhance financial stability.

Her extensive experience includes serving on the Council of Governors of the Canadian Public Accountability Board and the board of directors of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation.
