Julie Mutesasira, born on 27 February 1978, is a celebrated Ugandan-Canadian gospel musician whose powerful voice and heartfelt lyrics have resonated across Uganda and East Africa. Known for her inspiring songs such as 'Nkulembera', 'Lwana Nabo', 'Ekikunyumira', and the collaborative piece 'Bamuyita Yesu' with fellow artist Iryn Namubiru, Julie has carved a niche for herself in the gospel music scene.

Her talent has not gone unnoticed, as she has received numerous accolades throughout her career. In 2014, she was honored with the Best Female Gospel Song award for her hit 'Saba', followed by the Best Religious Song award for 'List Ya Mukama' in 2015. Additionally, she was nominated for the Best Religious Song for 'Kijja Kugwa' in 2016 at the prestigious HiPipo Music Awards.

Julie’s contributions to gospel music were further recognized when she won the Song of the Year award at the Olive Gospel Music Awards in 2012.
