Julie Skinner

Julie Skinner, born on April twenty-third, nineteen sixty-eight, is a distinguished retired Canadian curler hailing from Victoria, British Columbia. Her remarkable career is highlighted by her achievement as an Olympic medallist, where she proudly secured a bronze medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City.

In addition to her Olympic success, Skinner is celebrated for her prowess on the world stage, having claimed the title of world champion in the year two thousand. Her journey in curling began with significant victories, including winning the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in nineteen eighty-seven.

As a skip for the Canadian team, she further solidified her legacy by becoming the junior world champion in nineteen eighty-eight. Skinner's early curling career also saw her triumph in the nineteen eighty-six Canadian Junior Women's Curling Championship, where she played third for her sister, Jodie Sutton.
