Justin Schultz

Justin Schultz, born on July sixth, nineteen ninety, in Kelowna, British Columbia, is a distinguished former professional ice hockey defenceman. He grew up in the nearby City of West Kelowna, where his passion for hockey flourished. Schultz began his journey in the sport by playing three seasons of Junior A ice hockey with the Westside Warriors in the British Columbia Hockey League, where he quickly caught the attention of scouts and earned a spot on the NHL Central Scouting Bureau's rankings.

After his time in the BCHL, Schultz took his talents to the collegiate level, joining the Wisconsin Badgers men's ice hockey team at the University of Wisconsin. Over three successful years, he set numerous program records and became the third player in WCHA history to win two WCHA Defensive Player of the Year awards. Notably, he was the first Badger defenseman to lead his team in goal scoring, showcasing his exceptional skills on the ice.

Despite being drafted forty-third overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the two thousand eight NHL entry draft, Schultz faced a challenging situation when he could not reach a contract agreement with the team. This led to a fierce recruitment battle among nearly all NHL teams after his junior year. Ultimately, he chose to sign with the Edmonton Oilers on June thirtieth, two thousand twelve, where he played for four seasons before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in two thousand sixteen.

During his illustrious career, Schultz also played for the Washington Capitals and the Seattle Kraken, as well as in the National League for HC Lugano. His most notable achievements include winning back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Penguins in two thousand sixteen and two thousand seventeen, solidifying his legacy in the world of ice hockey.
