Tempest's journey began at the age of sixteen when they were accepted into the prestigious BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon, setting the stage for a remarkable career that would span various artistic disciplines.

In two thousand thirteen, Tempest garnered significant acclaim by winning the Ted Hughes Award for their innovative work, Brand New Ancients. This recognition was followed by being named a Next Generation Poet by the Poetry Book Society, an honor bestowed only once a decade.
