Kaeo Pongprayoon

Kaeo Pongprayoon, born on March twenty-eighth, nineteen eighty, is a distinguished Thai amateur boxer celebrated for his remarkable achievements in the sport. His career highlights include winning a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, a testament to his skill and determination in the ring.

In two thousand nine, Pongprayoon showcased his talent by clinching titles at both the Asian Amateur Boxing Championships and the Southeast Asian Games in the light flyweight category. His performance at the World Amateur Boxing Championships that same year saw him reach the third round, where he faced off against José Kelvin de la Nieve.

The following years proved to be pivotal for Pongprayoon. At the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships, he demonstrated his prowess by defeating two opponents before ultimately losing to the renowned Zou Shiming with a score of eight to fourteen.

The pinnacle of his career came during the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he made an impressive run to the finals. After winning his initial bout against Algerian Mohamed Flissi with a score of nineteen to eleven, he continued to excel, defeating Ecuador's Carlos Quipo and Bulgarian Aleksandar Aleksandrov. In a closely contested final, he faced off against Russian David Ayrapetyan, edging out a narrow victory with a score of thirteen to twelve. However, the final match against Zou Shiming ended in controversy as he lost by a score of ten to thirteen.
