Kalpana Patowary

Kalpana Patowary, known professionally as Kalpana, is a celebrated Indian folk and playback singer hailing from Assam. Born on October twenty-seventh, nineteen seventy-eight, she has made significant contributions to the music industry, particularly in the Bhojpuri genre, earning her the affectionate title of 'Bhojpuri Queen'.

Her musical journey began at the tender age of four, showcasing her prodigious talent early on. To refine her skills, she underwent rigorous training under the guidance of esteemed mentors Dipen Roy and Shikha Dutta, ultimately achieving the prestigious Sangeet Bisharad in Hindustani Classical Music from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya in Lucknow.

Throughout her illustrious career, Kalpana has recorded an impressive repertoire of songs in over thirty-two languages, including Bhojpuri, Assamese, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, and English. Her versatility and dedication to her craft have made her a prominent figure in the Indian music scene, captivating audiences with her powerful voice and emotive performances.
