Kalyna Roberge

Kalyna Roberge, a talented Canadian short-track speed skater, was born on October 1, 1986, in Saint-Étienne-de-Lauzon, Quebec. Her remarkable career began to take shape in 2005 when she showcased her exceptional skills at the World Championships, where she clinched a gold medal in the 3000m relay. That same year, she also made her mark at the World Junior Championships, securing a bronze overall and a gold medal in the 500m event.

Roberge's prowess on the ice continued to shine as she competed in various international events. Notably, she achieved a gold medal at a World Cup event in the Netherlands, further solidifying her status as a formidable athlete in the sport. Her Olympic journey began at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where she narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth in the 500m. However, she did not leave empty-handed, as she contributed to a silver medal victory in the 3000m relay alongside teammates Alanna Kraus, Tania Vicent, and Anouk Leblanc-Boucher.

Continuing her Olympic legacy, Roberge represented Canada again at the 2010 Winter Olympics. On February 24, she played a crucial role in securing another silver medal in the 3000 metre relay, this time with teammates Jessica Gregg, Tania Vicent, and Marianne St-Gelais.
