Kanon Wakeshima, born on June 28, 1988, is a talented Japanese musician known for her unique blend of singing, composing, and cello playing. She first gained prominence under the guidance of the renowned musician and fashion designer Mana, marking her entry into the music industry with a captivating debut.

On May 28, 2008, Wakeshima released her debut single, "Still Doll," which served as the ending theme for the anime adaptation of the popular manga series Vampire Knight. This single not only showcased her musical prowess but also introduced her to a wider audience, as she lent her voice to a maid character in the eighth episode of the series.

Following her successful debut, Wakeshima continued to enchant fans with her second single, "Suna no Oshiro," released on November 12, 2008. This track was featured as the ending theme for the second season of Vampire Knight, subtitled Guilty, further solidifying her place in the anime music scene.
