Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Kara Lang

Kara Lang, born on October 22, 1986, is a distinguished former Canadian soccer player and current sports analyst. She made her mark on the international stage by representing Canada in two FIFA World Cups and the Olympic Games. Lang's journey in soccer began at an early age, as she became the youngest woman to be named to the Canada National Women's Team, making her debut at just fifteen years old during the Algarve Cup in Portugal on March 1, 2002.

Throughout her career, Lang played club soccer for the Vancouver Whitecaps Women, showcasing her talent and dedication to the sport. However, her promising career was marred by injuries, leading to her retirement on January 5, 2011, at the age of twenty-four due to recurring knee and ACL issues. Despite these challenges, Lang's passion for the game remained strong.

In 2013, she embarked on a comeback with aspirations to contribute to Canada’s success in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. Unfortunately, her journey was cut short when she suffered a third ACL injury in February 2014, effectively ending her return to competitive soccer.

Off the field, Lang is a devoted mother to two sons and a daughter, whom she shares with her partner, professional baseball player Ricky Romero. Her contributions to Canadian soccer were recognized when she was inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame as a player in November 2015, solidifying her legacy in the sport.
