Karel Kolský

Karel Kolský, born on September twenty-first, nineteen fourteen, was a distinguished Czech football player and later a prominent football manager. His career as a player saw him represent Czechoslovakia, where he earned the honor of playing in thirteen international matches. Notably, he was a participant in the 1938 FIFA World Cup, showcasing his talent on a global stage.

After transitioning from player to coach, Kolský took the reins of the Czechoslovak national team during the 1958 FIFA World Cup. His coaching career flourished in the years following World War II, where he made significant contributions to various clubs, including Sparta Prague, SK Kladno, Dukla Prague, Viktoria Plzeň, Zbrojovka Brno, and the Polish club Wisła Kraków.

Kolský's coaching prowess was particularly evident during his time with Dukla Prague, where he led the team to victory in the Czechoslovak First League on two occasions, in nineteen fifty-six and nineteen fifty-eight.
