Karen Karapetyan

Karen Karapetyan, born on August fourteenth, nineteen sixty-three, is a prominent Armenian politician and economist. He served as the Prime Minister of Armenia from September two thousand sixteen until April two thousand eighteen, marking a significant period in the country's political landscape.

Before ascending to the role of Prime Minister, Karapetyan held the position of Mayor of Yerevan, the capital city, from two thousand ten to two thousand eleven. His leadership in Yerevan laid the groundwork for his later appointment as Prime Minister by President Serzh Sargsyan on September thirteenth, two thousand sixteen.

During his tenure as Prime Minister, Karapetyan focused on various economic reforms and initiatives aimed at improving the nation's financial stability. Following the resignation of Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan in April two thousand eighteen, he briefly served as the first deputy prime minister and was appointed acting prime minister from April seventeenth to April twenty-third, two thousand eighteen.
