Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg

Karl-Theodor Maria Nikolaus Johann Jacob Philipp Franz Joseph Sylvester Buhl-Freiherr von und zu Guttenberg, born on December fifth, nineteen seventy-one, is a prominent German figure known for his multifaceted career as a businessman, author, journalist, podcaster, and former politician associated with the Christian Social Union (CSU).

His political journey began with his election to the Bundestag in two thousand two, where he served until two thousand eleven. During this time, he held significant positions, including Secretary-General of the CSU from two thousand eight to two thousand nine, and Federal Minister for Economics and Technology in two thousand nine. He later became the Federal Minister of Defence, a role he maintained until his resignation in March two thousand eleven.

The turning point in Guttenberg's career came with the revelation of extensive plagiarism in his doctoral dissertation, leading to the revocation of his doctorate by the University of Bayreuth. This scandal, known as the Guttenberg plagiarism scandal, prompted his resignation from all political roles.

Following his departure from politics, Guttenberg joined the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in two thousand eleven. He is also a co-founder and chairman of Spitzberg Partners, an advisory and investment firm based in New York City, showcasing his transition from politics to the business world.
