Kash Patel

Kash Patel, born on February twenty-fifth, nineteen eighty, is an accomplished American lawyer, civil servant, and writer. He has made significant strides in his career, culminating in his appointment as the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in twenty twenty-five. Prior to this role, he briefly served as the acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives from February to April of the same year.

Patel's academic journey began at the University of Richmond, where he studied criminal justice and history, followed by his graduation from the Pace University School of Law. His legal career took off in two thousand five when he became a public defender in Miami-Dade County, Florida, later transitioning to a federal public defender for the Southern District of Florida. From two thousand twelve to two thousand seventeen, he worked at the Department of Justice, after which he became a senior aide to Devin Nunes, the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

In February two thousand nineteen, Patel joined the National Security Council's International Organizations and Alliances directorate, eventually becoming the principal deputy director of national intelligence in twenty twenty. His career continued to evolve as he was appointed chief of staff to acting secretary of defense Christopher C. Miller in November twenty twenty, following the dismissal of Mark Esper. After President Donald Trump left office in January twenty twenty-one, Patel leveraged his connections to engage in various business ventures and made numerous podcast appearances.

In April twenty twenty-two, he joined the board of Trump Media & Technology Group and published a children's book about the Steele dossier. He also founded The Kash Foundation, aimed at assisting participants in the January sixth Capitol attack with their legal expenses. Throughout his career, Patel has been a vocal supporter of Trump, often promoting conspiracy theories and calling for significant reforms within the FBI, which he believes has been weaponized against conservatives.

Patel's confirmation as FBI director came after Christopher Wray announced his resignation, making him the first individual of South Asian descent to hold this position. His tenure has not been without controversy, as it has raised questions regarding his professional conduct and the use of federal resources for personal leisure.
