Kate del Castillo, born on October 23, 1972, is a talented actress with dual Mexican and American nationality. She first gained prominence at the young age of 19 with her lead role in the popular telenovela Muchachitas, which aired on Televisa in 1991. This marked the beginning of a successful career in film and television across Latin America, where she captivated audiences with her performances in various leading roles.
Throughout her career, del Castillo has starred in numerous acclaimed telenovelas, including Alguna vez tendremos alas (1997), La Mentira (1998), Ramona (2000), Bajo la misma piel (2003–04), and the highly successful La Reina del Sur, which began in 2011. Her portrayal of Teresa Mendoza in La Reina del Sur earned her international recognition and solidified her status as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
