Kateryna Tarasenko, born on August sixth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a distinguished Ukrainian rower known for her remarkable achievements in the sport. She gained international recognition when she, alongside her teammate Yana Dementyeva, secured a seventh-place finish in the women's double sculls at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
However, it was at the 2012 Summer Olympics where Tarasenko truly shone, winning a gold medal in the quadruple sculls event. This victory was a testament to her skill and determination, as she teamed up with fellow rowers Nataliya Dovgodko and Anastasiya Kozhenkova to achieve this prestigious honor.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to rowing, Tarasenko was awarded the Order of Merit in 2012, highlighting her status as one of Ukraine's top athletes.
