Katharine McPhee

Katharine McPhee, born on March 25, 1984, is a multifaceted American talent known for her work as a singer, actress, and composer. She gained national recognition as the runner-up on the fifth season of American Idol in May 2006, which marked the beginning of her illustrious career in the entertainment industry.

In January 2007, McPhee released her self-titled debut album under RCA Records, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, selling three hundred eighty-one thousand copies by December 2010. The album's lead single, 'Over It,' became a Billboard Top 30 hit and was certified gold in 2008, solidifying her status as a recording artist.

Her subsequent albums include 'Unbroken,' released on January 5, 2010, which peaked at number twenty-seven on the Billboard 200, and the holiday-themed 'Christmas Is the Time to Say I Love You,' released in October 2010. McPhee's fourth album, 'Hysteria,' came out in September 2015, followed by her fifth album, 'I Fall in Love Too Easily,' featuring jazz standards, in November 2017.

In addition to her music career, McPhee has made significant strides in acting. She appeared in films such as The House Bunny and Shark Night 3D, and portrayed Karen Cartwright in the television series Smash from 2012 to 2013.
