Käthe Leichter

Käthe Leichter, born on August twentieth, nineteen ninety-five, was a prominent Austrian Jewish economist, writer, and women's rights activist. Her dedication to social justice and equality was evident through her active involvement in the Social Democratic Party of Austria and the Viennese Labour Chamber, where she championed the rights of workers and women alike.

As a journalist, Leichter used her platform to advocate for progressive policies and to highlight the struggles faced by marginalized communities. Her work not only informed the public but also inspired many to join the fight for equality and social reform during a tumultuous period in Austrian history.

Tragically, her life was cut short during the Nazi regime. Käthe was detained in the Ravensbrück concentration camp, where she endured unimaginable hardships. In nineteen forty-two, she was murdered by gas at the Bernburg Euthanasia Centre, a grim testament to the brutal realities faced by countless individuals during this dark chapter of history.
