Her journey into the realm of space exploration began when she was selected as a member of NASA Astronaut Group 22 in June twenty seventeen. After rigorous training and dedication, she qualified as an astronaut in twenty twenty.

Before her remarkable career at NASA, Barron served as a submarine warfare officer, showcasing her expertise in engineering and leadership.
