Louis Kevin Celestin, born on August 25, 1992, is a Haitian-Canadian music producer and DJ, widely recognized by his stage name Kaytranada. His journey in music began in 2010 when he released a series of mixtapes and remixes under the alias Kaytradamus, showcasing his unique sound and talent.
By 2013, Celestin transitioned to the moniker Kaytranada, which marked the beginning of his rise to fame. The following year, he signed a significant deal with XL Recordings, leading to the release of his critically acclaimed debut studio album, 99.9%, in 2016. This album solidified his place in the music industry and garnered widespread acclaim.
In 2019, Kaytranada released his sophomore album, Bubba, which further showcased his innovative style and earned him two Grammy Awards, including Best Dance/Electronic Album. His contributions to music extend beyond solo projects; he is also one half of the hip hop duo the Celestics, collaborating with his brother Lou Phelps.
