Keisha Lance Bottoms

Keisha Lance Bottoms, born on January eighteenth, nineteen seventy, is a prominent American attorney and Democratic politician. She made history by serving as the 60th mayor of Atlanta, Georgia, from two thousand eighteen to two thousand twenty-two. Elected in two thousand seventeen, Bottoms previously represented part of Southwest Atlanta on the Atlanta City Council, where she was known for her commitment to community engagement and public service.

During her tenure as mayor, Bottoms focused on various initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for Atlanta residents. However, she chose not to seek a second term, opting instead to contribute to the national political landscape. In recognition of her expertise, President Joe Biden appointed her as vice chair of civic engagement and voter protection at the Democratic National Committee for the two thousand twenty-one to two thousand twenty-five term.

In June two thousand twenty-two, Bottoms joined the Biden administration as a senior advisor and director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, a role she held until February two thousand twenty-three.
