Keith Morris

Keith Morris, born on September eighteenth, nineteen fifty-five, is a prominent American singer and songwriter celebrated for his dynamic role as the frontman of influential hardcore punk bands. Raised in the vibrant coastal town of Hermosa Beach, California, Morris embarked on his musical journey at the age of twenty-one when he co-founded Black Flag alongside guitarist Greg Ginn. The band made a significant impact on the punk scene with their debut EP, Nervous Breakdown, released in nineteen seventy-nine.

After departing from Black Flag later that same year, Morris continued to shape the punk landscape by forming the Circle Jerks with guitarist Greg Hetson. Over the years, the Circle Jerks released seven albums between nineteen eighty and nineteen ninety-five, experiencing multiple breakups and reunions that kept their legacy alive in the punk community.

In two thousand nine, Morris took another bold step in his career by forming the supergroup Off!, which features guitarist Dimitri Coats, bassist Steven Shane McDonald, and drummer Mario Rubalcaba. This new venture allowed Morris to explore fresh musical avenues while maintaining his punk roots. Additionally, he has lent his vocal talents as a guest artist on various albums, showcasing his versatility and enduring influence in the music industry.
