After retiring from professional play, Primeau transitioned into various roles within the hockey community. He served as the special assistant to the general manager and director of player development for the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. His passion for the sport continues as he currently holds the position of assistant hockey coach at Bishop Eustace Preparatory School and coaches the Revolution team at the Revolution Ice Gardens.
