Keith Van Horn

Keith Van Horn, born on October twenty-third, nineteen seventy-five, is a distinguished American former professional basketball player. His career as a forward in the National Basketball Association (NBA) spanned from nineteen ninety-seven to two thousand six, during which he showcased his talent across five different teams.

Before making his mark in the NBA, Van Horn had a remarkable collegiate career with the Utah Utes. Over four seasons, he contributed significantly to the team's success, helping them secure two WAC Tournament titles and reach the NCAA Tournament three times. His exceptional performance earned him the title of consensus second-team All-American in nineteen ninety-six and consensus first-team All-American in nineteen ninety-seven. Notably, he was also named ESPN Men's College Basketball Player of the Year in his senior year.

Van Horn was selected as the second overall pick in the nineteen ninety-seven NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers but was traded to the New Jersey Nets on the same night. He made an immediate impact, being named to the NBA All-Rookie Team in nineteen ninety-eight. During his tenure with the Nets from nineteen ninety-seven to two thousand two, he led the team in scoring for two consecutive seasons and finished fifth in the league with an impressive average of twenty-one point eight points per game in the nineteen ninety-eight to nineteen ninety-nine season. He was also part of the Nets team that reached the NBA Finals in two thousand two.

In addition to his time with the Nets, Van Horn played for the Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Dallas Mavericks. Throughout his NBA career, he averaged sixteen points and nearly seven rebounds per game, solidifying his reputation as a skilled and versatile player.
