Kelechi Iheanacho, born on October 3, 1996, is a talented Nigerian professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for Scottish Premiership club Celtic and the Nigeria national team. His journey in professional football began at Manchester City during the 2015–16 season, where he made a significant impact by helping the team secure the Football League Cup.
In 2017, Iheanacho made headlines with his transfer to Leicester City for a reported fee of twenty-five million pounds, marking the largest transfer amount for a Nigerian player at that time and the second-largest for an African player, following Egyptian Mohamed Salah. His contributions were pivotal in Leicester City's historic FA Cup victory in the 2020–21 season, where he scored a joint-high four goals, and he also netted the decisive penalty in the 2021 FA Community Shield.
