Kelly Armstrong

Kelly Armstrong, born on October eighth, nineteen seventy-six, is a prominent American lawyer and politician who has made significant strides in North Dakota's political landscape. He currently serves as the thirty-fourth governor of North Dakota, a position he has held since two thousand twenty-four. Armstrong's political journey began in earnest when he was elected as the state senator for North Dakota's thirty-sixth district, a role he fulfilled from two thousand twelve to two thousand eighteen.

As a dedicated member of the Republican Party, Armstrong's influence grew when he took on the role of chair of the North Dakota Republican Party from two thousand fifteen to two thousand eighteen. His commitment to public service led him to the U.S. House of Representatives, where he represented North Dakota's at-large congressional district from two thousand nineteen until two thousand twenty-four.

In January of two thousand twenty-four, Armstrong made a pivotal decision to not seek reelection to the House, instead setting his sights on the gubernatorial race.
