In 1999, Clark entered the competitive snowboarding scene, showcasing her talent and determination. By the year 2000, she had earned a spot on the prestigious US Snowboard team, setting the stage for her future successes.

Her most notable achievement came in 2002 when she clinched the halfpipe gold medal at the Winter Olympics, solidifying her status as a pioneer in women's snowboarding.
