Kelly Craft

Kelly Craft, born on February twenty-four, nineteen sixty-two, is a distinguished American businesswoman and politician who has made significant contributions to U.S. diplomacy. She served as the thirtieth United States Ambassador to the United Nations from two thousand nineteen to two thousand twenty-one under President Donald Trump. Her confirmation by the U.S. Senate came with a vote of fifty-six to thirty-four, and she was officially sworn in during September two thousand nineteen.

Prior to her role at the United Nations, Craft made history as the first woman to serve as the thirty-first United States Ambassador to Canada from two thousand seventeen to two thousand nineteen. Her diplomatic career began when she was appointed by President George W. Bush as a U.S. alternate delegate to the United Nations in two thousand seven, where she focused on enhancing U.S. engagement in Africa.
