However, it was her first character role in the two thousand six adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel 300 that truly marked her entry into the cinematic world.

In 300, Kelly portrayed the Oracle, a young Spartan girl chosen for her beauty and under the watchful eye of the old Ephors. Her character, though appearing briefly, delivered a powerful message interpreted by corrupt priests, warning King Leonidas against attacking the Persians. A still from her performance, depicting her in a trance, became iconic, featured prominently on one of the film's posters.
