Kenneth Howard Norton Sr., born on August 9, 1943, was a prominent American boxer whose career spanned from 1967 to 1981. He made a significant mark in the boxing world by capturing the WBC world heavyweight championship in 1978, following a closely contested split decision victory over Jimmy Young in a title eliminator bout.
