Ken Whitehead

Ken Whitehead, born on April 11, 1955, is a distinguished former Canadian soccer player who made his mark on the sport during the 1976 Summer Olympics. His journey in soccer began at Simon Fraser University, where he played in 1975 and 1976, showcasing his exceptional talent on the field.

During his time at SFU, Ken set remarkable records that still stand today. In 1976, he achieved the highest points in a single season with sixty-one and scored twenty-eight goals, solidifying his place in the university's history. Despite participating in only thirty-seven games, he ranks seventh in all-time scoring, a testament to his prolific scoring ability.

Ken's final year at SFU was particularly memorable as he helped lead the team to victory in the NAIA championship. Following his collegiate success, he transitioned to professional soccer, joining the Los Angeles Aztecs in 1977, where he continued to demonstrate his skills on a larger stage.
