Kendall Cross

Kendall Cross, born on February twenty-four, nineteen sixty-eight, is a distinguished American freestyle wrestler and accomplished wrestling coach. He is best known for his remarkable achievement as an Olympic gold medalist, having clinched the top honor at the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia. Competing in the fifty-seven kilogram weight class, Cross showcased his exceptional skills by defeating Guivi Sissaouri of Canada with a score of five to three in the final match.

Prior to his Olympic triumph, Cross also represented the United States at the 1992 Summer Olympics, where he finished in sixth place. Notably, he had previously defeated Alejandro Puerto of Cuba, the eventual gold medalist and a two-time world champion, in a tournament leading up to the Games. However, during the elimination rounds, he faced a challenging match, ultimately losing ten to six in round six.
